Looking to make a little extra cash with your Blog? To monetize a blog you need to choose the right ads and the right affiliate programs, but what one's are better than others?
For years now I have tried all sorts of affiliate programs and ad programs to help monetize several of my blogs and websites. Some have proven to be better that others.
Below is my list of ad programs and affiliate programs that have been the most successful for me and you can use to monetize a blog and start earning money immediately.
My Top 9 Affiliate and Ad Programs to Monetize a Blog
#1 Google AdSense
This may not be the top earner, but it is probably the most wide known and the easiest to implement. Sign up for an account from Google.com/adsense and create your ads and paste the code in a widget or anywhere on your site.
Google AdSense does not use Paypal to pay though, you will have to attach your account to a bank account. Once you have met the $100 threshold, they will direct deposit to your account.
ShareASale hosts 3,900+ Affiliate Programs spanning 40 different categories. Choose a category that suites your blog niche and apply for their Merchant Programs.
Like Google AdSense, Paypal is not an option, you will have to set up a direct deposit with your Bank Account.
#3 Resell Rights Weekly
Resell Right Weekly is a totally free Membership gives you hundreds of dollars worth of hot selling Private Label Rights & Resale Rights Products and lets you download brand new products every single week!
You get to keep 100% of the money and you can either choose products to sell or you can promote Resell Rights Weekly to others and earn a commission on referrals.
Similar to Resell Rights Weekly, IDPLR gives you instant access to 7630 PLR Products which you can resell and keep 100% of the profits! IDPLT claims that they have the largest PLR Membership Since 2008 - 32.000 Members, Updated Daily!
You will need to have a Click Bank account below to collect your money.
#5 Click Bank
As a Click Bank affiliate, you can promote products that you've picked out especially for your audience. It’s much better than advertising programs, because you’re in control of the promotions that appear on your site. You’ll build your relationship with your audience by recommending downloadable products they’ll enjoy.
Mediahb is similar to Google AdSense and will place banner ads on your blog. The best way to do this for WordPress is to add the advertising code of your choice and paste it into the footer widget. Direct deposit to your PayPal Account!
Amazon offers you a variety of ways to promote products from creating your own store to banner ads.
Another option is to promote Amazon itself to other potential advertisers and earn up to $155 dollars for each new advertiser you refer.
JVZoo Is great for either promoting your products or promoting other products. There are no out-of-pocket costs to become a JVZoo seller. You can create as many buy buttons as you like and add as many products as you want to their marketplace. You will never be charged a fee for doing so.
#9 Build Your List
Not to kick a dead horse here, but any online marketer will tell you that "the money is in the list". Building your list should be a priority. One of the best list building and most affordable email marketing tools I have found to date is Ininbox.com.
After joining you also have an option to join there partner program.
Of course there are hundreds of other choices that you can find, but these are the ones that have proven to be the most successful ways to monetize a blog that I have discovered.
