Adding an image to your comments are as important as having an image on your Facebook Profile!

How to Add An Image to Comments

Made with DesignCap

Adding comments on Blog posts, News Articles and Forums should be an important part of your SEO campaign. Equally as important is adding an image (Avitar) to your comments, whether it be your company logo and/or personal profile picture.

3 reasons why you will want to leave comments:

Backlinks – In almost every case, when you create a comment it will also ask you for your website address. This creates an automatic backlink to your Blog or Website. Some comment systems like the one we use (disqus) will allow you to add links to other sites, such as your twitter page, Facebook profile and several others.

Visibility/Credibility – By Leaving comments on popular Blog posts, News Articles and Forums allows you to "piggy-back" on the success of those posts. Simply put, some of these popular sites are getting thousands of visitors a day and by leaving a comment on an article that is relative to your niche can make you the expert. People will view your comment and then click on your profile to read more about you.

Questions – By asking questions, you can create activity to your profile and site because people will tend to research the person asking the question. Then the more replies you receive will also give that comment more "juice" resulting in more visibility as well.

If you have multiple email addresses for different businesses or even alias's that you use online, you can also add a different image for each one of those emails.

Mystery Woman

This way when you comment, it will ask for your email and it will use the image that you created for that email that would be appropriate for that situation you are commenting on.

A very simple, universally recognized tool to create different images for each of one of your emails is Gravatar.com
Whether you have one email or several emails, you can easily attach your image as an Avatar to each of your email accounts. This way when you comment, the image attached to that email will appear automatically in the image location of that comment.

Your Avatar is an image that follows you from site to site appearing beside your name when you do things like comment or post on a blog. Avatars help identify your posts on blogs and web forums.

Create your Gravitar today from Gravatar.com, a globally recognized avatar!

Happy Commenting!
