Google Plus Introduces Google CollectionsWouldn't ya know it, Google has come up with something new in Google+. Google Collections allows you to create and edit any type of collection about anything you want to share.

Here it is, another Google+ original! Have to share it with you in case you wanted to get in on another one of Google+'s ventures (experiments) on the ground floor.

I guess the idea here is, you can use collections to share posts about specific interests with only the people who share those interests.

You can create any type of collection your imagination can come up with, and your followers can choose which ones to follow based on what they want to see in their stream.

Create a new collection

To create a new collection:

On your computer

  1. Go to Google+ and click Home .
  2. Select Collections .
  3. Click Create a collection.
  4. Enter a name for your collection and choose who it's visible to.
  5. The best I can tell, if you want to create and add your own image, it is 2560px wide by 1440px tall.

I created my first collection of quizzes at https://plus.google.com/u/0/collection/spjf1 so you could get a quick peek.

You can easily share to your Google+ collections just as you would a normal post on Google+, but my suggestion would be to share it with a targeted audience that you would believe would be interested in it. You can share to groups and/or you can even reshare someone else’s post.

Not sure where this is going to go, but with anything Google creates, it's always fun to watch!
